An ICP, like us, is accredited to compete with major suppliers in connecting utility services to new-build developments. This accreditation ensures that we deliver connections to the specification and quality required for ownership by a distribution network operator or independent distribution network operator.
What are the benefits of using an independent connection provider (ICP)?
The primary benefit is cost savings, but there are more advantages to choosing an ICP. At Utilex Connections, we offer a staged payment facility, alleviating the burden of a 100% upfront payment. Additionally, we typically complete jobs faster, handling design, project management, and assistance throughout the build. You’ll also have direct access to a named contact for easy communication, ensuring you’re never left in the dark.
What is your attitude towards health and safety?

Who do you subcontract to?

Can you only assist us with electricity connections?
While electricity connections are our focus, we understand the complexities of coordinating multiple utility services on construction sites. That’s why we offer a comprehensive package covering all utilities, including water, gas, electricity, and fibre-optic broadband. We subcontract non-electric elements to trusted partners, ensuring seamless coordination and hassle-free service for you.
Do you connect single properties?
Connecting single properties poses challenges in competing with the DNO. After trialling single property connections, we’ve concluded that we won’t be competing for these connections moving forward.
